Helen Weavers

Helen Weavers: Sport & Exercise Physiologist

Helen is a BASES Accredited Physiologist and was previously Sports Science Officer for the Tayside and Fife Institute of Sport. Helen has since taken on a new role as Sport & Exercise Physiologist for the Institute of Sport & Exercise at the University of Dundee. Helen still leads on a number of projects for TFIS on a contractual basis.

Helen is originally from Sheffield and after studying Sport and Exercise Science at Northumbria, completed an MSc in Physiology at Sheffield Hallam. Helen worked as a Lecturer and Physiologist at a college in Mansfield and as a Fitness Instructor in Sheffield prior to her move to Dundee.

On a more personal note, Helen leads an active lifestyle and enjoys taking part in a variety of sports, including ice hockey and running, and has recently turned her hand to curling.
