When I played in Holland with the under 18s I was really impressed with the hockey set up over there. We played at two different clubs and at both they had more than one astro-turf pitch. Both also had there own club houses where the whole club could socialize. You don’t see that in Scotland!

Q Where do you get your inspiration and motivation from? Winning the gold medal at the youth Olympics makes me want to be in that position again.

Q What is your ultimate ambition? To be the best I can be and hopefully to play in the Olympics.

Q Do you have to make any sacrifices to be the best that you can be in your sport? If so, what are they and why do you make them? Social life is a big sacrifice especially being a student, sometimes you just have to say no to a night out.
